March was Women’s History Month.  Some students participated in a Women’s History Essay Contest:   “Important Women in Connecticut’s History and How their Contributions to the State and the Nation Affect Me”. This essay contest was hosted by State Senator Michael A. McLachlan’s office.

Students were given a choice of notable women from Connecticut to read about, for example,  Dorthy Hamill, Katharine Hepburn, Helen Keller. Next the students needed to answer the essay prompt.

I am proud to announce the two winners- Jillian and Jillian.

Both girls will be recognized in a ceremony hosted by the State Senator on April 30th.  Congratulations to Jillian and Jillian.
