Media Center Orientation

Learning was all about utilizing our media center and our Google Community.  This year Bethel has gone Google.  What does that mean… Students will have their own e-mail address linked to Bethel, work on documents on-line, collaborate and share their work easily all on line to name a few.

Students learned how to log into the Bethel Google Site, how to create and share Google documents, and how to utilize the Density on-line library catalog  The students also picked their first Independent Reading Book (IRB)- some of the authors/novels chosen were Carl Haissen- Hoot and Chomp, James Dashner– The Maze Runner, Jean Ferris– Once Upon a Marigold, Gary Paulsen- Hatchet.         Remember discuss what novels are being read- I am sure great thoughts and ideas will arise!

Thank you to Ms. Malatesta for facilitating a great reading and language arts lesson!
